Duration: 21 days

  • January 12, 2025 to February 1, 2025 (arriving on January 12) - 21 days / 200hrs

The course is limited to 14 students to ensure a personalized experience for each student. The course is in English.

About the Course

 

In this training we will acquire theoretical knowledge - practices that will facilitate you to create habits that help you deepen your practice of Conscious Hatha so that as a teacher you can transmit the great art of Yoga with foundations and clarity.

 

We will address different aspects that enrich each other.

In the area of ​​Anatomy we will give you precise, practical and applicable bases on functional anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. This knowledge will give you the tools to practice any style of yoga with awareness and in a safe way with less risk of injury.

 

We will teach you to use different types of props which will make you a more complete teacher.

We will guide you so that you can observe and detect common trends and errors in the most used asanas in Hatha Yoga.

 

You will learn the art of putting together and designing your classes, how to find verbal clarity, know how to organize your students with their props, the objective and the reason for your class, how to choose between so many options and at the same time not be repetitive and mechanical . Where to look for inspiration and creativity.

Through daily practice of meditation and pranayama we will create healthy habits for life.


Yoga is the re-union or re-knowledge of the individual being in the supreme, total, absolute, universal being SAT-CHIT-ANANDA.


On each day of teacher training, we will work on this fundamental aspect of Yoga. We hope that inside you the flame will light up that will guide you, accompany you and will always be with you.


Our goal is that in the 200 hours you will experience all the different aspects of yoga.


Experience silence, meditation, deep moments with yourself.


Live or try to live according to the principles of the Root of Yoga, which will make you a human being with values, goals, integrity, awareness, clarity and self-knowledge.

The road is long and will last a lifetime but we will put the seeds of this Great Tree on fertile soil, full of fruits to come and full of knowledge.

In the free time we offer you to read sacred and related texts to leave this formation as renewed beings or as the best version of yourself.

On Fridays we will have rituals, 4 in total (circle of fire, spiral, mandalas and offerings)


Saturdays we'll have Sat Sang to consult among all doubts or experiences of the week.

Accommodations and meals

 

Our yoga center is located 12 kilometers south of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Casa Naia is right on a beautiful isolated and unspoiled beach.

 

Accommodations are included with your registration. Each student has their own bed and each room has two beds and fans. Some bathrooms are shared and all have hot water. Everyone stays in the same house. It is a beautiful home on the beach with a pool, palm trees and many green areas.

Meals are also included with your registration. We have an amazing chef who cooks 3 vegetarian meals per day, plus snacks, juices and dessert. Whatever your dietary restrictions, we can accommodate them.

Fundamental kinesiological concepts for a practice of Conscious Hatha

 

In the area of Anatomy we will give you basic concepts of functional anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. This knowledge will give you the tools to practice any style of yoga with awareness and in a safe way that will allow you to take advantage of your skills and reduce the incidence of problems or bodily injuries.

Conscious Hatha

 

We will teach the main positions that are practiced in the different styles of Yoga, with respect and awareness of how to execute asanas safely without falling into postural compensation.

We are going to study and practice around 50 Asanas, the most common in Hatha Yoga.

An essential part for your practice to be safe is to activate the center of your body (your core) and the muscles related to the pelvic girdle that connects with the lower extremities and lumbar spine.

Restorative Yoga

 

In this style of yoga we will experience doing effortlessly, the practice of not doing, letting go and creating space where for years we have been carrying stress and tensions that have become chronic.


It is calming for the nervous system, it is a pleasant, enjoyable, welcoming practice for all types of students. It will be of great value for your classes as a teacher to be able to help and know how to use restorative yoga with your future students.

Methodology
 

You will learn to make congruent sequences to be able to share and teach having good results in the practitioners.


We will guide you clearly about the purposes and objectives of a class. You will teach your classmates and teachers according to the set goals, it will be a fun and creative game. Where we will all learn from everyone.

Sat-Sang

 

Once a week we meet in a circle, we practice a mantra and clear the doubts or concerns that have arisen during the previous days.

Marine Larripa

Director and creator of Vida Yoga Center, Puerto Escondido since 2009.

Marine has been dedicated to Yoga for more than 15 years, from a young age she was a dancer and dance teacher. Destiny took her to Yoga, a path she will never stop traveling, the Yoga tree is her most sacred refuge.

Marine has the ability to make her classes a work of art, handling rhythms, moments, depth and subtlety, tuning our body in a natural and comfortable way. Many students from all over the world have passed through her classes, the most recognized surfers from Puerto Escondido and other countries value her classes very much, since she, as a surfer, also immediately recognizes the needs of the bodies of the sea.

Her classes can be both restorative and very strong and active, she loves the combination of core and legs.

She is the mother of two daughters, wife and soul surfer. She loves the beaches especially at dawn, the sacred ocean, the ritual of being part of it.

She has been studying Vedanta for more than a year, which has greatly changed her perspective and focus on what Yoga really is. Vedanta although she is still discovering it is the last gem she has encountered and is definitely very grateful. The reflections that are presented on the spiritual path are becoming more and more significant and leave habits on a daily basis, the sadhana daily, karma yoga.

Sofia Agaton

Dedicated to teaching yoga for more than 15 years, her classes address the classic style of yoga from a therapeutic and relaxing perspective. This is due to the integration of different body techniques and yoga styles, which have enriched today's yoga.

“From my training in contemporary dance, at the end of my career as a teacher and interpreter, my interest in body alignment, movement and the relationship of all this, with feelings and emotions, led me to find myself in yoga and his philosophy an infinite world of possibilities ”.

Certified by the Yoga Alliance, I have participated in different workshops on body alignment, hatha yoga, ashtanga yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation.

Always looking for elements that enrich both my personal practice and that of my students.

 

Dedicating my full time to the teaching of yoga, I currently direct my own studio "Yoga Shala, art and spirit" in Puerto Escondido where different classes and yoga workshops are taught for all levels.
 

Syama Rupa Das - Philosophy

My spiritual path began in 2002 guided by a spiritual teacher in Colombia. I worked collaboratively running an Ashram and supporting activities of expansion, construction, practices and teachings of Vedic Philosophy and Bhakti Yoga (Devotional Yoga).

 

I spent three years in Trinidad and Tobago with a Hindu community. There I led an Ashram project to contribute to the preservation of this very sacred knowledge, the Vedic culture.

 

Currently residing in Mexico, I am in charge of an ecological reserve and the construction of an ashram to continue the study and practice of Vedic knowledge. My spiritual master is Swami Srila Bhakti Aloka Paramuduaiti.

 

Ana Sofía Sánchez Agatón - Anatomy

Ana Sofía is a general practitioner and graduated from Anáhuac University. 

 

She did her professional practices in Mexico City and later her Social Service attached to the National Autonomous University of Mexico as an assistant to the assigned doctor in charge of teaching regional and clinical Anatomy. 

 

Ana Sofía is certified by Yoga Alliance as a yoga teacher. She’s passionate about learning about the body and its ability to move and achieve perfect balance in a natural state. She has created a small manual aimed at future yoga teachers with basic knowledge to understand movement and anatomical structures.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive the Conscious Hatha Yoga Certificate which allows you to register with Yoga Alliance.

Yoga Alliance is considered the international standard for yoga teachers and yoga schools worldwide. This certification will allow you to be recognized as a professional yoga teacher all around the world.
